Through our community donations, the State Fair of Texas is focused on supporting the local South Dallas/Fair Park community in three areas: Education (primarily high schools in the Fair Park area), Capacity Building of Nonprofits, and Economic Development.

Through our community donations, the State Fair of Texas is focused on supporting the local South Dallas/Fair Park community in three areas: Education (primarily high schools in the Fair Park area), Capacity Building of Nonprofits, and Economic Development. As a neighbor in this community, we are committed to supporting organizations that are providing services in this area.

Sponsoring the State Fair of Texas provides a company with on-site branding and exposure and the opportunity to reach more than 2.2 million fairgoers through face-to-face interaction and activation over the course of 24 days.

Organizations in South Dallas/Fair Park can apply in 2020 to participate in the 2-year summer programs training and funding cohort. Summer program funding will have a different application process and timeline for organizations operating in the South Dallas/Fair Park area. Funding for summer programs will be contingent on participation in the mandatory training. Organizations can receive funding for a summer program grant and a State Fair of Texas grant or sponsorship throughout the year. This is the only way organizations can receive funds from the State Fair twice in one fiscal year. Please look out for additional information on this process

Join the State Fair and Goodwill Industries of Dallas, Inc. for the Big Tex Job Fair which provides employment for the local community and the Fair’s seasonal workers while also offering unique job-seeking opportunities and workshops. Local companies will be taking applications and interviewing for employment positions across a broad range of skill sets. The Job Fair hosted over 50 employers, 10 support service organizations, and almost 300 job seekers in 2018.
